The Joy of baking party is ideal for kids age 10+.  Baking is so much fun and who doesn’t love having something delicious to eat and show off after all the baking has been done? So come on, let’s roll up our sleeves and bake some cakes. Each participant  at this children’s party will mix their cake batter from scratch, then the dough will be scooped into cake pans and sent off to the oven. Kids will be working in pairs are a mixer.

While the cakes are baking parents can serve the kids the snacks and food that they are providing. During this time we will also serve the cake and sing happy birthday. If you are ordering in Pizza you can arrange the arrival for 90 minutes from the end of the party.

Since the cakes will still retain some heat from baking we are not able to decorate the cakes with buttercream since it will melt. Participants will however be able to decorate their cakes with some fresh fruits.

Each participant will take a delicious cake home to share with family or friends.

During the Joy of Baking Party approximately 2 hours are allocated to baking and decorating. The remainder of the time is allocated to  eating some birthday cake,  opening gifts if desired and celebrating the birthday guest of honour. We will provide a larger cake to serve as the birthday cake.

Our cake decorating facility is nut-free. Fruit and vegetable platters prepared in a nut-free environment are permitted to be brought in. Outside baked goods are also not allowed. Your are welcome bring your own coffee and other beverages.

To ensure cleanliness, participants and guests are requested to bring indoor shoes, especially during rainy or snowy weather. Since we are working with food we would also like for participants to have hair tied up. It is important that guests arrive on time for this party so that we will have sufficient time complete the baking.

The Joy of Baking Party

Duration: 3 hours

Morning party will start at 10:00 and end at 1:00 and the afternoon party will start at 2 and end at 5:00
Ages: 10+
Cost: $750 + $95 for each participant exceeding 8, plus HST. We are able to accommodate a maximum 24 participants.
