Introduction to Piping


Duration: 5 hours (9:30am – 2:30pm)

Students learn how to use one of the oldest and most traditional methods of decorating cakes—royal icing. The course covers:
– Making royal icing  and cuttercream
– Storing royal icing and products
– Piping tips and their uses
– Royal icing consistencies and their uses
– Colouring royal icing and buttercream

The skills learnt in this class:

Making Piping bags

10 different piped borders
Stacked line work
Draped line work
Piped blossoms and leaves

Creating and using template
Using sugar embellishments


We will provide a light lunch, please notify us if you have any dietary concerns. A minimum of two days notice is required.
