French Pastry Class
Learning to cook and bake is such an important life skill and leads to a healthier life. Our classes are a great place to experience the fun and excitement of preparing food without artificial ingredients and preservatives. Because we make everything from scratch participants must be old enough to follow instructions independently, therefore our camps are suitable for children age 10 and up.
We have some awesome desserts and pastries that we will be making this week. Many of the techniques are fundamental and are transferable to making other deserts.
Our menu for the week includes: Lemon Meringue Pie, Apple Turnovers, Strawberry roll cake & Meringues with Chocolate Mousse
Have an apron handy, a water-bottle and always tie your hair up when working with food. You will need plenty of space and it is always a great idea to start with a tidy and organized work space.
You will require the following tools and equipment and we will send you a comprehensive list prior to the start of the camp.
Stand Mixer with paddle attachment
Several bowls for mixing and storing
Tart pan and cooling rack
Cupcake pan and cupcake liners
