Cake Decorating and Baking Studio
Our programs provide baking enthusiast the opportunity to further their knowledge by participating in a range of short courses. All our classes are one day classes and are broken down into targeted subjects to accommodate the needs of a variety of learners.
No experience is needed but we do recommend practising as often as possible to get the most from the newly acquired knowledge.
Our current classes are listed on our website and can be booked online.
Payment in full is required at the time of registration. Unfortunately, there will be no refunds on classes.Â
You may cancel your registration in a class up to 48 hours in advance and credit will be issued towards another class. Â
If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, or fail to attend a class, there will be no credit issued, and no make-up class offered. This is a strict policy and no exceptions will be made due to illness, weather, traffic, family difficulties etc...  A great deal of time and preparation goes into our classes and with very slim margins, we need as much time as possible to try and fill any vacant seats. Consider buying a ticket to a class in the same way that you would buying a ticket to a concert or an event. If you failed to show up to an event you had purchased a ticket to, you cannot get credit back from the venue. Please think of our classes in the same way! Tickets are fully transferable and we are always happy to welcome a friend or family member in your place.Â
It is the student's responsibility to remember the date and time of the class they are registered in, and no credit will be issued should they fail to attend for that reason. This is a strict policy and no exceptions will be made.Â
To make changes to your registration prior to the 48 hour cut-off, please email us at jeanette@jeanettescakes.com or call (289) 400-5116.
In exceptional circumstances classes may need to be cancelled. We also require a minimum of 4 participants to host the class. If this happens you will be offered a credit towards another class. In addition, we reserve the right to change the class menu and instructor without prior notice.
If you are allergic or sensitive to particular ingredients, be aware that you may be required to handle all the ingredients used in the class, which may include dairy, gluten, eggs, etc. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and recipe testing, our recipes for classes cannot be altered to accommodate food sensitivities and allergies. Please be aware and familiarize yourself of common allergies found in bakery settings to keep yourself safe.
Students are required to wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. Jeanette's Cakes will provide students with an apron for the duration of the class. Hair should be tied up.
Our studio opens 10 minutes prior to the start of the class. Please do not arrive earlier since we will be setting up and getting things ready for the class.

Our current classes are posted on the website and you can book your spot here on the website.
Our classes are topic based and are broken down into short classes to make it possible for our students to attend with out the need to commit to attending for several weeks and running the risk of missing a class. We offer a variety of hands-on classes on baking topics including  Pies, Tarts, Cake Baking, Pâte à Choux, Seasonal/Holiday Desserts, Cookie Decorating, Cake decorating and more.
Know someone who loves baking or wants to learn more. We offer gift certificates that can be purchased to a specific class or to be used toward any class that we offer. The purchase value does not expire.
We continually add new class dates. To be notified when we add the next series of classes please sign up for our news letter to be notified.
Our standard classes are designed to accommodate any baking level. We will do our best to make the class a success for you no matter your skill level. Some classes build on other classes and should therefore be taken in sequence.Â
At this time we do not offer classes that are specifically geared towards children other than our March break and Summer camps. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult per child), and we generally recommend a minimum age of 10 years old for even our simplest classes. Adults attending with their children must also register in the class.
