1. Do you have full day camps?
Yes, Jeanette’s Cakes have full day cooking and baking summer camp that runs from 9:00 – 13:00 or from 2:00 – 4:30. Weather permitting, our camp includes outdoor time in a lovely open space in front of our bakery. Fresh air, sunshine, and creativity make for memorable experiences. We are 100% focused on providing the best hands on experience in this culinary camp for kids in Oakville, Canada.
2. Do you have camp aftercare?
We do not provide formal summer camp aftercare. If you need earlier drop off or pick up, let us know. We have a comfortable lounge area where kids can hang out until they are being picked up from the camp.
3. What do we need to bring?
Please bring a Nut Free snack and water bottle to our full day summer cooking camp for teens in Oakville, Ontario.
4. What is the dress code?
Please wear comfortable clothing. Long hair must get tied up. Bring your own apron or you can buy a Jeanette’s Cakes apron. For food safety and health reasons we need to keep our facility clean. So, please bring indoor shoes.
5. How many students are there in a class?
We are able to accommodate up to 16 participants in our kids summer camp sessions in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. On some activities kids will work in pairs. Kids also love working together as it helps shyer kids to make friends.
6. Do kids need to bring food containers?
We provide boxes and containers for our campers. They take home what they have made during their summer baking camp classes in Oakville at Jeanette’s Cakes.
7. Why are your camps so expensive?
We would love to make our kids summer camps cheaper. But we have many expenses and working with food is not cheap.
Our running costs are ongoing and include costs like, rent, hydro, gas, marketing, accounting, purchasing, expensive equipment, ingredient costs, research and development to mention only a few.
We do however hope that you will see the value in what your children will learn during our baking summer camp classes. We teach life skills and a love for cooking, baking and the culinary arts.
8. What is your refund policy?
Refunds (minus a $35.00 processing fee) will only be given up to 6 weeks before the start date of the camp. No refunds will be given once the camp has started.
Camps may get cancelled due to insufficient registrations, in which case they will be 100% refunded.
