Summer Picnic :16 – 18 July 2018
After long, dreary winter days we must make the most of warm sunny days. During this camp session we will be preparing a scrumptious picnic to be enjoyed with family or friends. We will be making dishes over the course of three days that you can take on a picnic in your garden or perhaps a lovely park. On the last day of the camp participants will be taking their picnic meal home. Please provide a picnic basket to take take the meal home on the last day of camp. We will supply take out containers and cutlery.
This Camp is designed for children 9 years of age and older. Children will be working in groups of two on some tasks and must be able to follow direction independently. We will teach cooking skills that are valuable in learning how to cook.
Please bring an apron, water-bottle, indoor and outdoor shoes and a nut free snack. Hair must be tied up.
No experience or equipment is needed.
Our menu will include the following dishes:
Sun-dried Tomato and Feta Quiche, Chicken and Chickpea Salad, Mediterranean Couscous Salad, Strawberry Jam, Scones, Chocolate Chip cookies, Fruit Salad and Lemonade.
Our portions are usually quite generous and this picnic meal should serve between 4 – 6 people.
