Cake Decorating Basics
Duration: 5 hours (9:30am – 2:30pm)

In this course we will cover cake decorating fundamentals. Students will learn to trim, layer and mask their cakes to a professional standard. It covers:
– Types of cakes.
– Types of icing, butter cream and fillings.
– Leveling and torting.
– Assembling cakes with butter creams and fillings.
– Smoothing and levelling cakes.
– Applying some modern piping techniques to decorate their cakes
Included is the use of all our tools and equipment, ingredients and cake that will be used as a practice model. We will supply a light lunch. Please advise us of allergies or special dietary considerations.
