About Jeanette Bugler

Jeanette Bugler photoI was born and raised in South Africa and since I left my parents home I have lived all over the world. Since 2004 my Husband and I and our two young daughters have made Canada our home.

I baked my first cake at the age of 10. It was grass green and rock hard (I forgot the baking powder). With encouragement from my parents I spent many hours in the kitchen baking and cooking. Fortunately my culinary skills have improved significantly and my passion for cooking and baking have stood the test of time.

During my High School years I worked for a Catering Company on weekends and that is where my love for creating with food was cultivated. I started my Tertiary Education at Wits Hotel School where I studied Catering Management. Thereafter I completed a 3 year Diploma in Food Service Management. My practical experience came from working as a Chef and Pastry Chef in various Hotels and Restaurants in Germany and Switzerland.

Throughout my life I have always had the need to be creative and have explored various art mediums which all support my work as a cake artist.

It is a very rewarding experience to create a cake for a very special occasion and have a part in my clients special event!!
