Have the Wedding Cake for Dessert

The Wedding Cake is one of the oldest traditions present in the Wedding Reception.  It is a true center piece for the wedding.  Depending on the amount of work that goes into it and the size of the cake it can be quite costly.  Therefore I suggest to many of my bridal couples to serve the Wedding Cake as the Dessert.  This can eliminate the cost for dessert or reduce the cost per person for the catered meal.   Check with your caterer though.  After the main course is also a good time to grab the attention of your guests.  They will be expecting dessert!  Later in the evening guests could be full from all the food and beverages consumed throughout the night not to mention their mental state.

The serving staff may cut the cake up in the kitchen.  Plate it and add a ball of ice cream, some creme anglaise or coulis.  There are many options available to you.
